The UWEWK 2021 is on with four sub themes. With these four sub themes the event will offer an important opportunity/platform for researchers, practitioners, sector professionals, private sector and academic communities to present papers, exchange knowledge and build relationships.
If you would like to present your research in one of the sub themes, please submit your abstract before 31st January 2021.
UWEWK 2021 (22nd – 26th March) will address some of the important challenges facing mankind at the National level, in the Region and also internationally.
The theme of UWEWK 2021 is : “Ensuring water and environment security for socio-economic transformation of Uganda”, with a focus on concrete solutions to the world’s greatest water and environment related challenges, starting with the climate crisis and including rising water levels, water scarcity, food security, health, biodiversity, and impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The UWEWK 2021 combine high-quality academic papers and interesting keynote speakers to ensure vibrant and innovative discussions. All submitted papers must relate to a specific sub theme. It is the UWEWK Technical Committee that selects the papers that are presented, based on the abstracts’ content and innovation.
