IRC Uganda’s supported Kabarole district health office and to ensure that it has capacity to provide appropriate behavioral change response to Covid-19. It also aimed at further strengthening Infection Prevention and Control for frontline health workers. In line with IRC’s support to WASH in Healthcare facilities, budget support was directed towards three areas namely;
- Risk Management Communication
- Infection Prevention and Control
- Purchase of some Personal Protective Equipment,
IRC Uganda provided funds through the district health office to conduct infection, prevention and control (IPC) activities and risk management communications. In total, IRC Uganda also contributed Ugx26,290,000/ towards Kabarole district’s response to Covid-19.
These interventions supported Communities, Health facilities and House holds.
