Data collection for the 2020 CSOs’ Performance Report commences

Data collection for the 2020 annual CSOs’ Performance Report commenced in July 2020. WASH CSOs are mandated to report their contribution to the Water and Environment sector annually through the annual CSOs’ Performance Report produced by UWASNET.

CSOs’ contribution are captured in the overall Ministry of Water and Environment Sector Performance Report under Chapter 12. The Sector report gives an overall view and analysis of sector performance.

The CSOs’ Performance Report facilitates CSOs to be transparent and accountable to the sector.

This year’s data collection will be done online using Kobo. With support from IRC Uganda, UWASNET developed an online data collection tool to facilitate the collection of data for the 2020 CSOs Performance Report.

The data collection tool is aligned to the SDG 6 indicators and the Ministry of Water and Environment Sector Performance Measurement Framework. CSOs are mandated to report their contribution against the Sector Performance Monitoring Framework. This makes it easy to track progress on SDG 6 implementation in Uganda and also track CSOs’ contribution to the implementation of SDG 6 in Uganda

The annual CSOs Performance report is a key advocacy tool that UWASNET uses to call for the prioritization of WASH in national planning and budgeting. It also contains recommendations to the sector for improved sector performance and best practices and lessons learnt for up-scaling and wider adoption.
