Online Payments
The following terms and conditions apply to the user who uses the online services provided for the annual subscription payment/registration fees made to UWASNET. By authorizing any payment to UWASNET through the online payment service option on this website, it would be treated as an acceptance to these terms and conditions.
Payment Options
You may use the Service for the purpose of making payments to UWASNET only if you are an eligible organization that is interested in joining or remaining a member at UWASNET by paying the registration fees and/or annual subscription fees.
You may use the online payment service for the purpose of making an annual subscription fee payment to UWASNET via MoMo Pay or online credit card transaction, provided that you do not (i) in any way damage or disrupt the service and/or the operation of the service and (ii) use the service for any unauthorized or unlawful purpose.
UWASNET reserves the right to suspend, amend or cancel the online payment service at any time either temporarily or permanently.
Payment Process
UWASNET is not directly involved in the online payment but through a third-party service provider.
Registration and annual subscription fee payments using the online service may be made only using only MoMo Pay, Visa or MasterCard credit cards.
All payments are to be in two currencies namely; Uganda Shillings (UGX) and United States Dollars (USD). UWASNET does not accept part payments, all payments must be paid in full.
Upon completing a transaction using the online payment service, you will be presented with a confirmation screen verifying the transaction details you wish to process. It is your responsibility to verify that all transaction information and other details are correct. UWASNET has no liability for transactions which are incorrect as a result of inaccurate data entry in the course of the use of the service or for loss of data or information caused by factors beyond UWASNET’s control.
Once payment has been received, you will receive a confirmation email by the third party service provider.
The credit card or MoMo pay information supplied at the time of using the service is processed by the payment gateway of the service provider and is not supplied to UWASNET. It is the sole responsibility of the user of the service to ensure that the information entered in the relevant fields is correct. It is recommended that you take and retain a copy of the transaction for record keeping purposes.
Fees
Before using the online payment service, it is recommended that you shall make necessary enquiry about the charges or fees payable against the Credit/Debit card used from Credit Card or the Debit Card service provider i.e. the respective Bank.
UWASNET may refund your payment or part of your payment in accordance with the section below (“Refunds”). Where there has been a refund by UWASNET, we will deduct the merchant service fee payable from the refunded amount due.
Refunds
Once a payment has been made it cannot be cancelled. We do not accept any responsibility for refusal or reversal of payments, which shall be a matter between you and your credit card issuer or MoMo Pay.
Requests for refunds must be made in writing together with proof that you have paid more than the outstanding amount owed on the account. Requests for refunds must be sent to ngocoord@uwasnet.org.
Refunds, if applicable, at the discretion of UWASNET, will only be made to the debit/credit card or MoMo Pay account used for the original transaction.
Disclaimer and Limitation of liability
By using the online payment services of this website,
- You agree that the debit/credit card or MoMo Pay account details provided for use of the aforesaid service(s) are correct and accurate and you shall not use a Debit/ credit card or MoMo Pay account, that is not lawfully owned by you or the use of which is not authorized by the lawful owner thereof.
- You are responsible to ensure that sufficient credit is available on the nominated card/ bank account at the time of making the payment to permit the payment.
- You agree, understand and confirm that your personal data including without limitation details relating to debit card/ credit card/net banking transmitted over the internet may be susceptible to misuse, hacking, theft and/ or fraud and that UWASNET or the Payment Service Provider(s) have no control over such matters.
- You agree that UWASNET or any of its employees will not be held liable by you for any loss or damages arising from your use of, or reliance upon the information contained on this website, or any failure to comply with these Terms where such failure is due to circumstance beyond UWASNET’s reasonable control.
Payments using the online service are made through a secure third-party website. UWASNET will use all reasonable endeavors to prevent unauthorized access to your personal Information. However, UWASNET will not be liable for any direct or indirect damage or loss whatsoever for any interception and/or ‘hacking’ of any data or other unauthorized access to information provided by you for the purposes of using the online payment service.
UWASNET does not warrant or guarantee that the online payment service and/or your use of the service will be error-free, immediate, virus free and/or continuously available or that the information provided through the service will be complete, accurate and/or up to date.
To the extent permitted by law, UWASNET does not accept liability for any damage, loss, costs (including legal costs), expenses, indirect losses or consequential damage of any kind which may be suffered or incurred by you from the use of the online payment service. If, for any reason, UWASNET is found to be liable to you for any damage or loss which arises as a result of your use of the online payment service, UWASNET’s liability will not in any event exceed the amount of the transaction which formed the basis of the damage.
No warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, is given by the UWASNET in respect of the operation of the online payment service.
