Celebrating Excellence, Innovation & Leadership in Uganda’s WASH Sector
UWASNET is proud to announce the inaugural Uganda WASH Impact and Influence Awards—an ambitious national initiative designed to honour individuals, organisations, and innovations that have significantly advanced Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) in Uganda.
Launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Water and Environment, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Sports, and other development partners, these awards spotlight the transformative power of WASH in shaping healthier, more resilient communities.
Why These Awards Matter
Despite progress, millions of Ugandans still lack access to safe sanitation and reliable water services. These awards aim to galvanise action, amplify success stories, and inspire inclusive, sustainable solutions across the sector.

Who Can Apply
Eligible applicants include NGOs, CSOs, CBOs, development organisations, media professionals, researchers, and social enterprises working in Uganda’s WASH sector.

Governance & Transparency
The Awards are guided by a multi-sectoral Advisory Board and a panel of judges representing government, academia, civil society, media, and the private sector—ensuring credibility, transparency, and alignment with national WASH priorities.
